Police investigate shooting in northeast Columbia

UPDATE 5:51 P.M.: Residents of Kelsey Drive say it’s not a hot bed for violent crime.

One neighbor who spoke with ABC 17 has been living there for more than a decade and says it’s one of those quiet areas.

G unshots were heard on Saturday around 11:30 p.m.

The same neighbor that spoke with ABC 17 said she noticed a party going on at one house with more than a dozen people outside, and that the shots came from that area.

The neighbor also said the crowd looked on the younger side.

ABC 17 asked Columbia police if they know who they might be looking for or if there is any danger to the public. Columbia police had no updates.

ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday night in the 5400 block of Kelsey Drive in northeast Columbia.

According to police, they found multiple shell casings on the road. A parked car was also hit by gunfire.

No one was hurt.
