Gloomy end to the weekend leads to more rain Monday

TONIGHT : Cloud cover will continue to hold strong overnight as temperatures slowly drop back into the mid-40s. Wind will be steady out of the east at 8-10 mph. Another chance of rain is tracking into the area overnight. Rain will begin after midnight and will continue into the morning hours on Monday.

MONDAY: Have the umbrella handy as you’re headed out the door in the morning. Widespread rainfall will be across most of the region, and it could be heavy at times. We’ll likely see a brief break in the rainfall in the early afternoon, before another shot of rain stretches across the area into the evening hours. The heaviest rainfall looks to stay along and south of I-70. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 40s.

EXTENDED : We remain dry through the middle part of the week before our next low pressure system begins to affect the area late Thursday night into Friday. We warm throughout the week, giving us a chance this system brings storms with it. Be sure to check back at ABC 17 to get the latest updates on the forecast throughout the week.
