Quiet Weekend Before Unsettled Week
TODAY: We’re going to see clouds persist throughout much of the day on our St. Patrick’s Day. As this low pressure system makes its way across the state of Missouri, our winds will gradually shift to a more northwesterly direction. Temperatures today will be in the upper 40s to low 50s.
TONIGHT: The quiet weather continues into the overnight hours. Temperatures will fall tonight into the middle 30s to start our Sunday. Winds will become calm while veering to a more easterly direction by the morning.
EXTENDED: We will see some filtered sunshine and winds turning out of the southeast on Sunday, temperatures will recover to near 60 in the afternoon. We begin an unsettled week a little early with a chance of rain moving in Sunday night and continuing throughout much of Monday. Once this system pushes through the region, we will be seeing cooler air behind it. Tuesday is the first day of Spring and we may have to remind ourselves of that throughout the day, as it appears to be the coldest of the week, with highs in the middle 40s. We are going to see a chance of a few light snow showers in the morning as well to help usher in Spring. We start another warming trend toward the end of next week before the return of more chances of rain Thursday night. Be sure to check back at ABC 17 to get the latest updates on the forecast.
