St. Patrick’s Day sobering statistics

St. Patrick’s Day is one of the largest holidays, and also one of the deadliest.

Here are the statistics:

Jefferson City Police Department released a report in 2016, there were 60 people killed in drunk-driving crashes during St. Patrick’s Day holiday weekend nationwide.

In Missouri, in 2016, there were 179 people killed and 643 seriously injured on Missouri roadways involving at least one substance impaired driver.

Missouri Highway Patrol told ABC 17 that there were two fatalities statewide and three crashes and eight injuries in Central Missouri last year.
