Suspect involved in K-9 pursuit accused of stealing gun

The suspect involved in a February chase with a K-9 unit is facing charges for felony burglary and felony stealing.

Police said a burglary occurred at a residence in the 1500 block of Paris Road on Feb. 27. One person was inside asleep, when Dylan Pacheco unlawfully entered the house and stole a gun.

ABC 17 previously reported that on Feb. 28, a K-9 unit took Pacheco down after a chase with law enforcement. During the chase, Pacheco was reportedly wearing a bag that had ammunition and methamphetamine inside. Officers later found a gun in the area.

Pacheco is currently in the Boone County Jail with a bond greater than $50,000.
