Sunny and windy conditions return to Mid-Missouri

TONIGHT: Despite the afternoon sunshine, clouds will return through the overnight hours. It’ll be a chilly night, with lows bottoming out in the mid to upper 20s. Areas that don’t see as much cloud cover, will likely see even colder conditions. Winds will remain light out of the north up to 10 mph, with wind chills anywhere from 15 to 20 degrees.

TUESDAY: Morning clouds will be around for the first part of the day, before sunshine returns into the afternoon.– however, don’t let that fool you. There is going to be a stiff breeze out of the northwest at 10-15 mph which will make our air temperatures in the mid 40s feel like the mid 30s. Thankfully Tuesday looks to be the last truly winter-like day across the area, as we will begin to moderate into Wednesday.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will make it back to average Wednesday as we top out in the mid-50s. Even warmer Thursday and Friday as temperatures will make it into the mid 60s thanks to the return of southwesterly flow. Windy conditions are expected to return by Wednesday into Thursday, with winds likely gusting anywhere form 20 to 30 mph. After highs rise into the 60s Thursday we are tracking a chance of showers and thunderstorms by Thursday night. This will kick off a somewhat active weather pattern as we head into the weekend with more on and off chances of showers through Monday. This pattern change that could potentially bring some of the warmest air so far this year. Be sure to check back at ABC 17 to get the latest updates on the forecast.
