Deputies investigating after man stabbed in Maries County

The Maries County Sheriff’s Office said two men were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a fight Saturday night.

Deputies were called to a home on County Road 634 in Dixon for reports of the fight.

The sheriff’s office said one of the men tried to break up another fight and was stabbed in the lower abdominal area. Deputies said the man then used a tree limb to hit the man who stabbed him.

Authorities said the men are related and the investigation continues.
