Columbia road crews called in for morning snowfall
After a spurt of heavy and slushy snow Sunday morning, Columbia Public Works called in plow crews to start clearing off roads for Monday.
Public Works said in a tweet around 11:30 a.m. that nine staff members reported to clean off the slush that accumulated from the morning’s wintry mix.
The slippery road conditions caused “several crashes,”, according to a tweet posted by the Boone County Fire Protection District around 10:45 a.m.
