Hannibal man charged with stealing more than $300,000 from Baptist church

Ralls County deputies arrested Donald White, 68, after he was accused of stealing thousands from Antioch Baptist Church.

Deputies said White has been charged with wire fraud after he was accused of stealing more than $300,000.

The investigation into White began after a suspicious fire destroyed the Antioch Baptist Church on Dec. 20, 2016. White, who was an elder and longtime treasurer of the church, was suspected by other parishioners of being involved with the large scale theft of church funds just prior to the fire.

White is being transported to St. Louis for incarceration.
