Man charged with pointing gun at pedestrian in Downtown Columbia

A man has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon after he was accused of pointing a gun at a pedestrian in Downtown Columbia.

According to the probable cause statement, Michael Burns exited a car at the corner of Cherry Street and Hitt Street and point a gun at a pedestrian.

Burns was accused of pointing and racking the gun in the direction of the pedestrian and yelling at him.
