Columbia police arrest woman accused of forgery

Columbia police arrested Yaneisis Hernandez-Romero after she was accused of forgery in February.

Police said Romero went into the Walmart Supercenter on Broadway and made five separate transactions. Those transactions were believed to load money onto a gift card using a stolen credit card.

Romero was also observed going into the Walmart Supercenter on Grindstone and making three separate transactions at a self checkout kiosk. Each transaction was to place funds on a gift card using the debit card information of a second victim.

Romero was also accused of entering Ulta Beauty and Bed, Bath and Beyond and making multiple transactions using a card that contained the information of a third victim.

Romero was arrested and faces possible charges of felony forgery.
