Plenty of sunshine to close out of the workweek

TONIGHT: We’ll watch clear skies and cold conditions take over this evening as we dip into the upper 20s across most of the region. Light winds out of the north up to 8 mph will bring a return to wind chill values near 20 degrees. A jacket will be needed for the morning commute, but temperatures will quickly climb into Friday.

FRIDAY: A beautiful day is in store after a cold start to the morning. We’ll have full sunshine and temperatures in the mid 50s by the afternoon. A few clouds are possible during the afternoon hours, but overall plenty of sunshine will have us all heading outdoors. Winds will be out of the southeast up to 11 mph through the day, making for a nice mild breeze.

EXTENDED: Sunshine and warm conditions will accompany us this weekend. Temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday look to hover right around 60 degrees. Saturday, we’ll see mostly sunny skies, while Sunday looks to have clouds building in by the evening as our next storm system takes shape across the region. We’ll see rain build in Sunday evening into Monday morning. As we dry out Monday, much cooler air will build into the region and we’ll have to track how much moisture is left with this system, as we could make a brief changeover to flurries early Tuesday morning. Still alot of time to track the specifics of this system, so continue to stick with ABC 17 as we watch this system unfold.
