Clearing skies today leads to a sunny weekend

THURSDAY: The start of March will be seasonal with high temperatures near 50. Morning clouds will clear to mostly sunny skies as northwesterly winds at 15 mph gust to 25 at times in the afternoon.

TONIGHT: Clear skies accompanied by northerly winds will make it a chilly, winter-like night across mid-Missouri as temperatures drop back below freezing. Low temperatures will drop to into the mid to upper 20s with wind chills close to 20.

EXTENDED: We’ll start warming up again Friday as winds shift to the southeast, reaching the low to mid 50s under sunny skies. Heading into the weekend, temperatures will continue to slowly warm and we’ll reach close to 60 degrees under mostly sunny skies Saturday. Clouds will increase Sunday as temperatures climb to the low 60s, Showers and isolated t-storms will increase after 9 PM from the west ahead of a cold front which moves through early Monday morning. Showers are likely Monday morning, ending in the afternoon with highs in the mid 50s. With this round of rain we could see close to .25″ across mid-Mo.
