Trial date set for Gov. Eric Greitens

A trial date has been scheduled for May 14 after Gov. Eric Greitens was indicted on felony charges.

Attorneys for the governor were in court on Wednesday morning for a pre-trial hearing. They met with the judge representatives from the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office.

Greitens was previously indicted by a St. Louis grand jury on one felony count of invasion of privacy. Greitens was alleged to have taken an unauthorized photo of a woman he was having an affair with.

Greitens has admitted to the affair but denies committing a crime. He says the investigation by the local prosecutor is politically motivated.
