Student accused of threatening to shoot up school after becoming angry over seating arrangements
St. James police arrested Tristan Dillard on Tuesday after officers were called to John F. Hodge High School for reports of a terroristic threat.
The school principal told police that he had received a message from a student that was concerned about Dillard.
Dillard was accused of becoming angry at a substitute teacher because of a new seating chart and threatened to “shoot the school up.”
A few students told police they had heard Dillard making the comments and said he had some “really bad anger issues.”
Officers talked with the substitute teacher who said she did not hear Dillard make the comments.
Dillard admitted to police that he said he “could bring a gun to the school” but claims he never said that he would “shoot anyone.”
Dillard was charged with making a terroristic threat in the second degree. His bond was set at $25,000.
