Phelps County deputies arrest man accused of seven counts of statutory sodomy

Phelps County deputies arrested Jeffrey White on Monday for seven counts of statutory sodomy following an investigation of child sexual abuse.

Deputies said the investigation began when the Missouri Children’s Division alerted officers to the alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile female.

Officers said evidence of the abuse was found during a forensic interview of the victim.

Deputies later interviewed White and then arrested him.

White is currently in the Phelps County Jail with a bond set at $500,000.
