FedEx semi-truck crashes on I-70 exit ramp, blocking exit

A FedEx semi-truck crashed on the West Boulevard exit of I-70 eastbound early Saturday morning.

The Boone County Office of Emergency Management sent out a notification advising residents about the crash around 2:15 a.m.

ABC 17 News crews were on the scene shortly after 2:45 a.m. and saw Columbia police and firefighters block off the exit ramp using flares.

News crews saw a part of the semi-truck overturned on its side.

Online dispatch records show Columbia firefighters responded to the crash for a possible fuel spill.

ABC 17 News reached out to police for information about the crash and is waiting for a response.
