New voter IDs issued for Cole County residents

Cole County officials announced on Tuesday that the clerk’s office will be mailing out new voter ID cards to all registered voters in the county.

Officials asked residents to destroy their old voter ID cards and begin using the new card with the next election.

Residents are also asked to pay special attention to their personal information on the new cards to make sure it is all correct.

Officials said residents should also pay attention to the voting locations because some polling places have changed.

Residents who do not receive the new voter ID card or verification notice by March 15 should call the County Clerks office at (573) 634-9101.
