Cunningham leads No. 13 Mizzou past No. 11 Tennessee in front of record crowd

The No. 13 Mizzou women’s basketball team knocked off No. 11 Tennessee, 77-73, in front of a record crowd at Mizzou Arena, 11,092. The Tigers are now 22-5 overall and 10-4 in the SEC.

Sophie Cunningham had a game-high 32 points. The former Rock Bridge star also had five rebounds and five assists. Jordan Frericks finished with 16 points and seven rebounds. Cierra Porter had 13 points and five rebounds.

This is just the second time Mizzou has ever beaten Tennessee.

After the game, head coach Robin Pingeton, Cierra Porter and Sophie Cunningham met with reporters. All three said they were very grateful for the record turnout.

Up next, Mizzou will host Vanderbilt on Thursday at 7 p.m.
