Camden County man charged with multiple counts of statutory rape

A man has been charged with eight counts of statutory rape or attempted statutory rape after officers received a report of sexual assault on a juvenile on Tuesday.

According to the probable cause statement, the 13-year-old victim and Brent Jones had sex on multiple occasions.

The victim told deputies the sex was not consensual and if she did not comply, Jones would get angry and forceful.

The victim also said Jones had physically touched her in places he shouldn’t have.

Jones admitted to officers he had sex with the victim approximately eight or nine times but denied ever having to use force.
