Columbia teenager charged with stalking and threatening victim with gun

A Columbia teenager has been charged with stalking and unlawful use of a weapon after he was accused of waving a gun in the air and attempting to cause a crash.

According to the probable cause statement, Ethan Cash, 17, pulled up next to the victims’ car and displayed a gun in a threatening manor by pointing it up in the air.

One victim told officers that Cash had been showing up at her work, showing up at random places she was at, leaving threatening messages and would follow her car.

The victim also told police that she had been wanting to get an order of protection but had not obtained one.

During the incident, Cash was accused of pulling up in his car at an angle so that he could block the victims’ car from leaving.

One victim had to drive over the curb in an attempt to get away but Cash tried to ram his car into theirs.

Cash is currently in the Boone County Jail.
