Osage County deputies arrest man accused of stealing checks
Osage County deputies arrested Michael Eads on suspicion of forgery.
Eads was accused of knowingly stealing checks and allegedly writing them for beer and cigarettes on three different occasions at a local business.
Deputies said when they made contact with Eads, he said, “I know why you are here.”
Eads admitted to taking the checkbook without permission and signing the victim’s name on the checks.
Eads was taken to the Osage County Jail and charges have been filed against him.
