UPDATE: Highway Patrol confirm one fatality, over 100 crashes and slip-offs

UPDATE 2: State Highway Patrol tweeted more data from Sunday.

From 2 to 9 p.m.: Troopers responded to 201 calls for service and reported 141 crashes, 11 injuries and one fatality in Audrain county.

UPDATE: The Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F said troopers responded to 131 incidents on the road today that injured 11 people and killed one, according to a tweet sent Sunday evening.

The fatality occurred in Audrain county. A sergeant with Troop F says more details will be released after the family is notified.

Earlier Troop F said in a tweet that “83 crashes and slide-offs have been reported to Troop F as of 3pm.” The tweet was posted at 3:38 p.m.

Boone County and Southern Boone County Fire Protection Districts both said firefighters responded to multiple calls of crashes and slip-offs, but reported no injuries.

ORIGINAL: Emergency responders were busy Sunday afternoon responding to crashes and cars sliding off the roads after snow moved into mid-Missouri.

ABC 17 News crews saw two crashes on North Route B, including one at McGee Road and another just north of Mt. Zion Church Road.

Responders were also called to several wrecks along Highway 63 and Interstate 70 in Boone County.

Several ABC 17 News viewers also reported a multi-car pile up on Highway 63 in Randolph County near Clark.
