Bitterly cold tonight, Continuing to track Tuesday snow

TONIGHT : Temperatures will feel like winter overnight as we drop into the single digits. We’ll bottom out around 6 degrees, with below zero wind chills so you will need to bundle up the kids to start the school week.

MONDAY: After a cold start, we warm above freezing in the afternoon thanks to southerly winds. We’ll see increasing cloud cover as low pressure passes to our north bringing snow to the Missouri/Iowa border. Winds will be gusty at times so you’ll need your coat on your way home Monday evening.

EXTENDED: We have increasing confidence that Tuesday will likely be the first widespread accumulating snow across Mid-Missouri. Amounts will likely be adjusted, but the timing starts snow around rush hour Tuesday evening, and continuing into early Wednesday morning. As always, we will continue to track this storm as it develops and provide you with the latest forecast updates. Make sure you watch ABC 17 news and check back on our website for those updates.
