Three teenagers taken into custody after failed burglary attempt in Camden County

Camden County deputies took three teenagers into custody early Tuesday morning after officers responded to a residence on Ginger Road in reference to a burglary in progress.

Deputies said the suspects attempted to climb into the house through a bedroom window but saw one of the occupants. The suspects fled the scene in a Silverado pickup.

Officers said the truck was stopped on Carol Road and all three teenagers were taken into custody.

Colton Sphar, 19, was charged with burglary and operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility.

Dalton Allen, 17, was charged with burglary.

Sphar and Allen were taken to the Camden County Adult Detention Center.

The third subject, a 15-year-old boy, was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
