Galloway begins audit on Camden County government

Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway announced on Tuesday that her office began an audit on the government of Camden County.

Galloway said the audit was initiated through a resolution approved by the Camden County Commission.

“This will be a comprehensive audit to review county operations and practices to find any areas where Camden County can make improvements to better serve the public,” Galloway said. “Citizen input can be very beneficial to these audits, and I encourage residents who have information that may be helpful to contact our Whistleblower Hotline.”

Those who would like to provide information can contact the State Auditor’s Whistleblower Hotline at moaudit@auditor.mo.gov or by calling 800-347-8597.

An audit of the Camden County collector’s office is also underway. Galloway said her office began the audit because a vacancy was in the county collector’s office.
