Jefferson City police arrest man accused of being a habitual drunk driver

Jefferson City police arrested Eric Bader on Monday after officers responded to Missouri Boulevard and West Main Street for a report of an intoxicated driver.

According to the probable cause statement, Bader was driving in the westbound lanes going eastbound.

Police said when they made contact with Bader, he appeared to be intoxicated, with watery, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

Bader told officers he had been drinking and submitted to a breathalyzer where he registered .351 BAC; the legal limit is .08.

According to the probable cause statement, Bader has five previous alcohol convictions and was arrested days earlier, when his BAC was .402.

Bader was charged with a habitual DWI.
