Phelps County deputies investigate deadly shooting

Phelps County deputies are investigating a deadly shooting after responding to the 10000 block of County Road 2080 on Tuesday morning.

Deputies said when they arrived on scene, officers discovered a man who had been shot.

During the initial investigation, three people were brought to the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department to be interviewed.

Officers said the male victim later died on scene.

Deputies are not releasing the name of the victim because the next of kin has not been notified. An autopsy is scheduled to be done on Thursday.
