Officials investigate deadly Pulaski County fire

UPDATE 12:00 pm: A spokesperson for the Missouri Department of Public Safety said the cause of the fire is still undetermined because of the damage.

The spokesperson also said the residence was a small farmhouse heated with an oil-burning stove and a wood-burning stove.

Officials said there is nothing suspicious about the fire.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Tri-County Fire Protection District responded to a large residential fire in the 19000 block of Rawlins Road on Monday night.

Firefighters said when they arrived on scene, they saw a fully involved structure that was already collapsed.

As firefighters were working to extinguish the fire, one person was found deceased in the home.

The Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office and Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
