Columbia road crews go to work Sunday morning in preparation for expected snowfall

Columbia Public Works crews said an eight-person crew would head into work at 5 a.m. Sunday in anticipation of a snowy forecast.

ABC 17’s Stormtrack Meteorologist Kevin Schneider said Columbia may see about half an inch of snow Sunday morning, and additional snowfall Sunday night into Monday morning.

Road crews said they will treat and plow along the designated snow routes as needed.

If Columbia gets 2 inches of snow, crews said residents who park on the curbs of designated snow routes should move their cars out of the roadway.
