Students are safe after threat at Ownesville High School

Superintendent of the Gasconade County R-II School District, Chuck Garner confirmed on Friday there was a threat at Owensville High School.

According to an automated phone message sent to parents, a potential threat was reported and the district put their safety plan in place and contacted local and juvenile authorities.

Garner said no weapons were found and students are back in class.

Garner also said the school and district would continue to cooperate with authorities during their investigation.
