Emergency crews respond to second crash on Highway 124, westbound lane shuts down

UPDATE 3:50 pm: Firefighters said they responded to a single-car rollover crash.

Firefighters said there was one female inside of the vehicle but she was able to get out of the car before crews arrived. The woman only sustained minor injuries because she was wearing her seatbelt.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

ORIGINAL STORY: Emergency crews responded to a motor-vehicle collision on Highway 124 near Dodd Road on Wednesday afternoon.

According to public dispatch, more than 6 crews responded to the scene.

Boone County Joint Communications said the westbound lane is shut down and asks for drivers to avoid the area if possible.

Hours before, troopers responded to a rollover crash on Highway 124 near Grindstone Creek. The crashes are less than a mile apart.
