Pulaski County deputies arrest man accused of robbery, demanding money with gun

Pulaski County deputies arrested Xavier Chambers, 21, after officers responded to a reported home invasion robbery on Tampa Lane just outside of St. Robert on Thursday.

Deputies said that two robbery suspects had kicked in the back door, breaking the security chain and splintering the door frame. The suspects were also accused of confronting the occupants of the home with handguns as they were demanding money, officers said.

The suspects fled the scene on foot, deputies said.

Officers were able to review security camera footage and Chambers was picked out of a lineup by a witness to the crime.

Chambers was charged with burglary and robbery and his bond was set at $250,000.

Deputies said the investigation is continuing.
