Broken sprinkler line in Jefferson Building causes slick conditions, colder temperatures
A broken sprinkler line in the Jefferson Building caused extensive water flow and colder office temperatures on Tuesday morning.
A spokesperson said a sprinkler line in the cafeteria area froze and broke causing water to flow out into the lobby and temperatures to drop in offices close to the lobby.
The spokesperson said workers came to the building immediately and contained the water.
Precautions were taken to ensure the safety of the employees. Mats were used for slip resistance and staff was in the lobby to help those safely through.
