Emergency crews respond to mail truck hitting residence

UPDATE 4:15 pm: Officers on scene said the crash happened when the mail truck driver backed into the house. The driver had a medical issue when the crash happened, officers said.

Officers said the driver suffered injuries but was conscious and breathing when emergency crews arrived on scene.

There was no major damage done to the residence and no one else was hurt in the incident.

ORIGINAL STORY: Emergency crews responded to the 4700 block of Salem Drive on Thursday afternoon for reports of a motor vehicle collision.

ABC17 crews on scene saw a mail truck backed into a residence in the area.

According to public dispatch notes, more than three emergency vehicles were on scene.
