Callaway County deputies arrest man accused of having felony amount of marijuana

Callaway County deputies arrested Austen Stinnett, 20, on Tuesday after officers noticed that he made a traffic violation on State Road F near Fulton.

Deputies said during the traffic stop, a K-9 unit searched the vehicle and found a felony amount of marijuana and items related to the distribution of illegal drugs.

Stinnett was taken to the Callaway County Jail and his bond was set at $6,5000. He faces possible charges of delivery of a controlled substance.

Deputies said they continue to work with other law enforcement agencies to curb drug abuse throughout the county that can oftentimes lead to other offenses such as burglary and stealing.
