Police say west Columbia response with forensic unit a “follow up investigation”

ABC 17 News is still working to find out what kind of investigation officers were doing in west Columbia that required a forensics unit.

Police confirm officers responded to Chapel Hill Road near the Cherry Hill area around 11:30 Monday night.

They aren’t releasing many details about why they were there yet.

ABC 17 News asked police why officers were seen carrying boxes out of a home there. They would only say they responded for a follow up investigation.
