Cooper County deputies arrested man accused of threatening trooper

Cooper County deputies arrested Joshua Jones on Wednesday after officers were investigating threats made to a trooper.

According to the probable cause statement, Joshua Jones threatened a trooper by making verbal threats to him at a diner and online threats to him on social media.

The trooper told deputies that he and his family are very concerned and fearful for their safety because Jones knows where they live.

Deputies said the actions of Jones have been witnessed by other law enforcement officers.

Jones was charged with harassment.
