Columbia police arrest man accused of having methamphetamine

UPDATE 12/13: Korcak has been charged with possession of a controlled substance.

According to the probable cause statment, Korcak had 1.92 grams of methamphetamine on him.

Police said Korcak is profiled as a drug user and was on probation for amphetamine possession and domestic assault.

ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police arrested Henry Korcak early Tuesday morning after officers said they conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle with expired Missouri registration in the area of St. Charles Road and Grace Lane.

Police said Korcak was the front passenger of the vehicle and consented to a search.

Officers said they felt a foreign object on Korcak’s inner left leg that was discovered to be a jewelers bag with methamphetamine inside.

Korcak faces possible charges of possession of a controlled substance.
