Maries County deputies arrest man accused of driving on the wrong side of the road
Maries County deputies arrested Timothy Keeling on Thursday after officers said they observed him driving on the wrong side of the road.
According to the probable cause statement, Keeling failed to maintain the right half of the roadway and traveled on the wrong side of the road for approximately one mile while traveling around blind corners and up hills.
Deputies said they pulled Keeling over and could smell a strong odor of marijuana and intoxicants.
Officers said they found a bag of marijuana, a pipe and a semiautomatic pistol inside the car.
According to the probable cause statement, Keeling is a convicted felon and is not allowed to have a firearm.
Keeling admitted to officers that the marijuana and pipe were his.
Keeling also admitted that he had already smoked marijuana prior to talking with officers.
Keeling was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and failing to drive within the right lane of the highway.
