Jefferson City woman hit, killed by truck in driveway

A 75-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a truck in a Cole County driveway early Saturday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 4:50 a.m. in the 7000 block of Route Y.

Gary Thomas, 76, was repositioning his truck in the driveway while Carole Thomas was walking around the back side of the vehicle, according to a crash report.

Troopers said she was hit and pronounced dead shortly after.
