UPDATE: Suspect in custody after attempted armed robbery at Osage Beach McDonalds
UPDATE 12/8: McNally has been charged with attempted robbery.
According to the probable cause statement, McNally was found with a BB gun that matched the description of a gun given to police by the victim.
McNally admitted to authorities that he displayed the BB gun and demanded money from the cashier.
UPDATE 12/7: Jefferson City Police said they were asked to help the Osage Beach Police find the suspect in the attempted armed robbery.
Police confirmed the suspect is Adam McNally, 33, of Jefferson City.
Officers said McNally went through the drive-thru at the McDonalds, displayed a gun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk closed the window and fled back into the store to call 911, police said.
Police said they were able to track down the vehicle, which was loaned to another person who is known to reside in the Jefferson City area.
McNally was found a short time later and taken into custody.
UPDATE: The Osage Beach Police Department confirmed the person was taken into custody Tuesday around 6:30 p.m.
Officers had help from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Camden County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect’s name has not been released at this time.
ORIGINAL STORY: Osage Beach police responded to the McDonald’s in the 6000 block of Osage Beach Parkway on Tuesday morning in reference to an attempted armed robbery.
Police said no one was injured during the robbery.
Officers said they located the suspect vehicle at another location.
Police said they continue to investigate the incident.
