Boone County woman charged with stealing food, drinks, lottery tickets from Gerbes

A Boone County woman has been charged with stealing after she was accused of taking food and lottery tickets from a local Gerbes Supermarket.

According to the probable cause statement, a loss prevention manager for the store discovered that Katie Coleman had stolen approximately $400 worth of food and drinks from the store since July.

The loss prevention manager also told officers that Coleman had stole $7,500 worth of lottery tickets and collected approximately $5,869 in winnings from the store.

Officers said some of the thefts could be seen on surveillance footage.

Coleman allegedly admitted to officers that she had stolen food, drinks and lottery tickets from the store.
