UPDATE: Wanted man in custody after multi-county search

UPDATE 4:50 pm: Deputies said Stephen Brandon has been taken into custody in Gasconade County.

UPDATE 2:45 pm: Osage County deputies said they have credible information to believe that Brandon is no longer in the county.

Deputies said the investigation is on-going.

UPDATE 12 pm: Deputies said the man they are looking for is Stephen Brandon. Officers do not know if he is armed.

ORIGINAL STORY: Osage County deputies said on Wednesday that officers were involved in “an incident” near County Road 501.

Deputies said a suspect ran from officers and has not been found.

Officers said they believe they have the suspect contained around County Road 501 but are asking residents in the area to remain vigilant and report any unusual activity.

Deputies said they are searching for the suspect with at least one K-9 unit and helicopters.
