Woman charged with endangering the welfare of children after police find marijuana and meth

Laurie police arrested Katherine Centers on Tuesday after they responded to an apartment complex on Highway O in reference to a report of illegal narcotics in the home where minors had access to them.

According to the probable cause statement, Centers was asked and consented to a search of the residence.

Police said they found a cardboard box in Centers’ bedroom that had a glass pipe with burnt residue. Officers said they found a glass dish that had methamphetamine on it and marijuana.

Officers said they found a broken pipe that tested positive for marijuana.

Centers told police that the bag was trash.

Officers said some of the items were not out of reach from Centers’ children.

Centers has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
