Boone County inmate charged with peace disturbance after another inmate shatters patella bone

A Boone County inmate was charged with a peace disturbance after another inmate wound up in the hospital.

According to the probable cause statement, the victim told officers that he and Thyrus Brown had a verbal argument that became physical when Brown “bear-hugged” him and slammed him to the ground.

Deputies said the victim was going to need surgery due for a shattered patella bone.

A witness told deputies that the victim was verbally agitating Brown when the assault happened.

Officers said when they interviewed Brown, Brown said he did not touch the victim and his injury happened when he was dared to perform a dance on the bunk in a cell.
