ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police say they’ve arrested three young men for a recent robbery at a north Columbia fast food restaurant.
It happened on November 11th at the McDonald’s on Smiley lane.
Police say surveillance video helped them identify 18-year-old Javion Swope, 18-year-old Alexander Lovin and 17-year-old Jaden Rother as the men involved.
Officers say Swope reached into the drive-through window while an employee was working on another transaction. He apparently took money and ran.
Police say surveillance video shows Lovin was the driver of the vehicle involved and say Rother also benefited from the stolen money.
Officers originally called in a K9 unit to try to track down the suspects, but were unable to. Officers arrested the suspects on Monday.
All three men are now facing possible charges for robbery in the second degree.
