Columbia man charged with kidnapping and sodomy after forcing a woman to perform sexual acts
UPDATE 11/9: Columbia police said Gross called the victim on Tuesday about his arrest.
Police said during the call, Gross tampered with the victim by using deception and attempts to dissuade the victim from making a report.
Gross also attempted to dissuade the victim from filing a complaint or providing information for possible prosecution.
Gross was arrested on Wednesday on possible charges of felony tampering with a victim.
ORIGINAL STORY:Davion Gross was charged with sodomy, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and kidnapping after Columbia police arrested him on Monday for holding a woman against her will and forcing her to perform sexual acts on him.
According to the probable cause statement, Gross and the victim were sitting in her car having a conversation when Gross began to get aggressive in a sexual manner.
Police said the victim resisted Gross’ advances but he got forceful with her and pulled her on top of him.
The victim continued to deny Gross both verbally and physically, officers said.
At that point, Gross struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and then punched her in the arm, police said.
Police said Gross then forced the victim to perform oral sex on him.
Officers said Gross also forced the victim to drive him to a different location by pulling a gun on her and pointing it in her direction.
As the victim was driving, Gross was pulling at the wheel and endangering their lives. Gross also said that if she stopped he was going to “blow her brains out,” police said.
According to the probable cause statement, Gross has a criminal history of domestic related charges and stealing. Gross has gang affiliations and is known to be armed and dangerous, police said.
