Man charged with statutory sodomy, accused of attempting to expose girl’s breasts

Randolph County deputies arrested George Griffin after a victim reported Griffin tried to expose her breasts.

According to the probable cause statement, the victim attempted to walk around Griffin, when he turned and grabbed her shirt and bra and pulled it up.

The victim told deputies that Griffin told her that if she told anyone, he would deny it and say he did nothing.

Deputies said when they interviewed Griffin, he told officers that the victim complained she was hot, and he told her she should just take off her shirt.

Griffin told officers he may have assisted her in taking her shirt off.

Deputies said the interview was cut short because Griffin did not want to cooperate.

Griffin was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and statutory sodomy.
