Overcast skies and drizzle to continue through the evening

TUESDAY: Same story different day across Mid-Missouri, as overcast skies will hold steady through the day. Some areas north of I-70 could see a few pockets of sunshine early in the day. Thanks to the lack of sunshine and the potential for some light drizzle through the day, highs will only top out in the mid 40s. With winds out of the northeast up to 15 mph and gusts as high as 21 mph, we’ll see wind chill values in the mid 30s.

TONIGHT: Light drizzle and rain showers are possible through the early evening with heavy cloud cover still in place. Clouds will gradually clear north to south through the evening which will allow temperatures tonight to drop below freezing. With winds out of the north up to 6 mph wind chill values will drop into the mid 20s by morning.

EXTENDED: The unseasonable pattern continues as we head into Wednesday, but we remain on the dry side. With sunshine back in place for Wednesday we will see high temperatures a little warmer, in the upper 40s. A weak frontal boundary tracks through Mid-Missouri as we head into Thursday, with no rainfall expected. However, temperatures will take a little bit of a dive. After highs on Thursday reach near 50, overnight lows Thursday night will drop into the mid 20s, with Friday’s high back in the 40s. Our next best chance of rain comes as we head into Saturday, as a disturbance tracks in from the Rocky Mountains. No severe weather is expected, but light rain showers are expected as we head into Saturday afternoon. There could be a few lingering showers early Sunday morning, but we will be dry by the afternoon. By next week, fair weather returns and we see highs slowly moderate back towards normal.
